From Orphan to Daughter of the Most High King

October 4, 2018

“Why don’t you want a kitten?”, asked the employee at the animal shelter. I answered her with a superficial response. The fact is everyone wants kittens. Right? Just like everyone wants to foster and adopt babies. I wanted an older cat, who was possibly overlooked just like older children tend to . . .

A Hopeless Man Finds Hope in God

September 6, 2018

My life was out of control ever since I was just a kid. I grew up in Edmondson Village, on the West Side of Baltimore. I lived there for most of my youth and was in a constant battle to fit in. I never felt good enough. It didn’t matter what I did, what I wore, whether I fought someone bigger than . . .

Moved by the Music

June 4, 2018

I come from a really good Christian family. My parents were both Christians and I grew up in the church. I was 8 years old when I was baptized and I grew up in a home that put God first. Music was always something that we shared together as a family, and thankfully, I do think this is why music . . .

He Turned My Brokenness to Blessings

November 3, 2017

I was raised to believe in God. I was taught that there’s a heaven and a hell, but that was really it. My family and I didn’t attend church and we weren’t very religious. We said grace every Sunday and that was about it. Even saying grace was short and simple. For years that was good enough for us. . . .

He is True, Even in My Wandering

October 11, 2017

My family raised me in a Christian home, where when we were younger, we attended a Seventh Day Adventist church. We left the church because we, as a family, did not agree with several of their beliefs or practices. After leaving, we were unable to find a church that caught our attention and was . . .

When You See Wounded… I See Mended

September 2, 2017

I grew up attending a Methodist church and going to Sunday school every Sunday. I started attending a Catholic school in Kindergarten. From a very young age I learned about who Jesus was. As I got older, I began to attend Youth Group at our church. When I started around 5th and 6th grade my family . . .

Out of the Ashes, a Flame Shines Bright

April 4, 2017

Why did my father try to beat me out of my mother’s womb?  Why did they love drugs more than me?  Why did they leave me on a sofa, defenseless, at two weeks of age?  There must be something wrong with me.  I have no significance in this world.  No one will ever love me or . . .

“Hi, I’m Kasey Rae and here is my story on how I was saved and gave my life to Christ. I was born and raised in a Christian home along with my brother and younger sisters. I grew up in the church and was involved with everything. I was in the Awana program, helped in the nursery, sang on the . . .

Meet Caylee

Hey there, I’m Caylee! I am 28 years old, been married for 4 years, mama to a sweet and adventurous toddler, expecting little brother in May 2022. I started blogging in January 2017 and this blog has grown with me as I go through big life changes and spiritual change. After an early pregnancy loss in April 2021, I took an unexpected break from blogging and this site is currently in a season of transition as I rely on God to show me what to do with it next. I pray this blog is a way to spread the word of the coolest guy I know, Jesus Christ, with the world around me and to have authentic conversations about maturing in Christ, marriage, and motherhood as intentional Christian women.
