Out of the Ashes, a Flame Shines Bright

April 4, 2017

Why did my father try to beat me out of my mother’s womb?  Why did they love drugs more than me?  Why did they leave me on a sofa, defenseless, at two weeks of age?  There must be something wrong with me.  I have no significance in this world.  No one will ever love me or . . .

The Pursuit of Happiness

March 23, 2017

There is so much more to life than money. It cannot buy your happiness. Working so much that you’re exhausted and basically not living your life just to save money leaves you empty and purposeless. At the end of the day, if you’re not content then you need to ask yourself: “Is this really worth it?” . . .

Discouraged to Confident

March 20, 2017

“Hi, I’m Kasey Rae and here is my story on how I was saved and gave my life to Christ. I was born and raised in a Christian home along with my brother and younger sisters. I grew up in the church and was involved with everything. I was in the Awana program, helped in the nursery, sang on the . . .

The One My Soul Loves

March 16, 2017

It all started in 2015 when I got out of literally the worst relationship I’d ever been in. I was dating a man who was unfaithful, inconsiderate, and mean to the point of abuse. When I’d caught him cheating for the third time I just decided that I was done. I packed up my things and moved out within . . .

Why it’s Important to Praise in the Midst of the Storm

March 9, 2017

So it’s not much of a secret, as much as I don’t enjoy talking about the fact, that I have spent about a year now trying to dig myself out of a pretty deep financial hole that I got myself into. It all started when I was going through a rough patch starting in 2015. As my testimony states, I started . . .

Love is in the Air

February 14, 2017

"La Muñoz Familia" There was a spark from the night we met, on July 9th, 2014 in Lihu’e Kauai. Eventually, after months of dodging the “I like you” conversation, we had the talk. My parents liked him so much that they allowed us to date, but only with many many restrictions... After a few months, . . .

What it Means to be Pure in 21st Century America

February 2, 2017

Photo By Evan ConnellyIn a world that is so over-sexualized, it is hard to flatter the idea of sexual purity until marriage. The whole concept of this feels as though it has become obsolete in twenty-first century America. Sex is such a popular topic, we hear about it on the radio, on television, . . .

Christianity Versus Secular Humanism

January 26, 2017

We live in a world that offers many different worldviews that attack the views of Christianity and the Biblical Christian Worldview. One of these alternative worldviews, in particular, is Secular Humanism. Secular Humanism completely rejects the views of the Christian worldview and focuses on the . . .

Your Passion Lies in Your Heartbreak

January 12, 2017

Photo by Rebecca Gilligan I heard once that the thing that breaks your heart the most is the root in which your passion lies. The most heartbreaking thing to me is children who are neglected, abused, or don’t have enough. Maybe that’s why I am currently assistant teaching. Every time I hear a story . . .

It’s Time to be Emotionally Naked

January 5, 2017

Photo by Erica DeBronkartIt’s in moments of pure spiritual, mental, and emotional nakedness in which I find that I feel the happiest. I’ve been practicing this in my own life but have found it difficult. I do find it easier when I see other people living out their nakedness and being their pure, . . .

Meet Caylee

Hey there, I’m Caylee! I am 28 years old, been married for 4 years, mama to a sweet and adventurous toddler, expecting little brother in May 2022. I started blogging in January 2017 and this blog has grown with me as I go through big life changes and spiritual change. After an early pregnancy loss in April 2021, I took an unexpected break from blogging and this site is currently in a season of transition as I rely on God to show me what to do with it next. I pray this blog is a way to spread the word of the coolest guy I know, Jesus Christ, with the world around me and to have authentic conversations about maturing in Christ, marriage, and motherhood as intentional Christian women.
