Okay so, in my last post, I shared 4 items that I wish I’d known about before baby and put on my registry. This week I am sharing the things I did have on my registry that would have been lost without. Granted, there are definitely more things you could add to your registry and this isn’t an “everything you could possibly need” extensive list, but I am going to share with you my most used baby items!

Nanit Baby Monitor

Okay this one is a splurge but we LOVE this monitor. It tracks everything from sleep patterns to breathing and gives you such a clear picture. The video is shown on an app on your phone and can be seen even if you’re not at home. I love this feature if I ever have to leave Anna at home with dad or if we go out for date nights in the future. It will definitely give me peace of mind knowing I can check in on her from anywhere.
We also bought a couple amazon echo shows which will show as a monitor display as well as our iPad Mini.
Humidifier

Honestly any will do but this is the one we got and we like it? I never realized how dry the air in Anna’s nursery was until we started using our Nanit baby monitor. We keep the humidifier on in her room at night to make sure the humidity stays within the desired range for the best sleep environment for her. (Again, another reason why we love our Nanit)
DockATot

We have the Dockatot Deluxe+ in pristine white. This has been a must have for us. I’m not sure how we would have survived the newborn phase without the DockATot! It fits perfectly inside the halo bassinet, and we used ours in Anna’s cradle. It is perfect to use for safe co-sleeping, if you want to, for any period of time. And there are also lots of attachments to help with play time, tummy time, and travel as well! We love our DockATot so much I have been considering getting Anna the Grand since she is growing out of the Deluxe+.
You can read more about safety guidelines for this here.
Aden + Anais Burpy Bib

I love these burp cloths because they are multi functional. When baby is small, they are an amazing burp cloth. The muslin fabric is very absorbent and soft and perfect for catching spit up. Also The shape fits perfectly over your shoulder for full coverage so the spit up doesn’t run down onto your shirt. As baby gets bigger, these cloths also work as a great bib for when baby is ready to start eating solids!
Bumbo Floor Seat

This is great! Anna loves hers but we mostly use this one outside. We use the Sit Me Up Floor Seat indoors mostly because she likes that one better. This seat seems to be better after they have a little more core control and can sit up assisted.
Boppy Nursing Pillow

You can get a naked one or one that comes with a cover, they have gender specific designs or neutral! I honestly didn’t use this much while nursing, I liked to just use a regular pillow. But, this has been very useful when it comes to tummy time and propping Anna up to help her when sitting. When she was really little, I would prop her in this while laying and looking at me for little chats.
Diaper Pail

My favorite part about this diaper pail is that you don’t need special bags or anything like some of the other styles. We just use a normal trash bag! Yeah, yeah, I know many people will tell you they just throw the dirty diapers in a normal trash can. But, my experience with that is that it can make the hold room stink. This one keeps the odor out!! And is super easy to keep clean.
SwaddleMe Original Swaddles

Anna LOVED to be swaddled nice and tight, sometimes it’s really hard to do this with a normal blanket swaddle, especially when you’re sleep deprived or you’re re-swaddling in the middle of the night. These these velcro swaddles made it super easy for Evan and I!
Gripe Water or Gas Drops

This has been super helpful for nights when Anna is super gassy and uncomfortable but can’t pass it well through a burp or toot. When they are really little, the digestive tract is still really sensitive and they need some assistance moving the gas. Both of these things can be total lifesavers when they are uncomfortable.
Frida Baby Windi & Frida Baby Nose Frida

So, Frida Baby has so many products that I could recommend but for now, I will only give you two must haves. The Windi being the first! This was super helpful when Anna was really gassy and the gripe water or gas drops did not seem to help. We would do bicycles to try to help, but once we’d exhausted all of those avenues, this one helped to relieve her discomfort instantly. It’s messy, but totally worth it. The Nose Frida is also messy but worth it! It works so much better than the bulb snot suckers, is easy to use and simple to clean!
Much Love,
